Gumby and Pokey (aka "James & John)

The touching story of these two dear boys has etched its way into our hearts and we hope it will yours as well. These two
brothers were featured in our Spring/Summer newsletter of this year. Both rescued from a gas chamber-kill pound from a
southern state. Both being black had slim to no chance at adoption the woman said from the pound that contacted me.
Pokey, the larger of the two boys had three eye surgeries over the past year and the final one did the trick, his eyes are bright
and beautiful! The smaller one Gumby is a chatter box and enjoys conversations with his new friend “Hope Marie”, a
pretty black female kitty, whom he and his brother Pokey now share their lives with. A lovely woman named Sarah gave the
two boys a loving home this past summer. It was a match made in heaven. Sarah fell in love with both the boys the day she met
them and cuddled each one close to her heart. She was willing to take both and could not even think of separating them. Her
kitty “Hope Marie” was also a rescued kitty and the three now romp, play and cuddle together as though they have known each other their whole life.

We have had many other successful stories of our kitties being adopted and finding their furever home.
